This video shows how an improper stucco installation on a rather new house, caused cracks on the surface and wood rot on the inside. --- Had the home owner caught this on time, the damage could have been major. --- The little cracks were caused in part by the lack of a vent, which not only allows for moisture to escape, but allows the stucco veneer to "move" as it expands and contracts with weather changes.
